Sunday Times: ‘Devastating Syrian Surprise for Israel’

Thank G-d for good intelligence information. It turned out to be a devestating surprise for Syria instead.

( More revelations continue to emanate from the foreign media about Syrian targets allegedly bombed by the Israel Air Force almost ten days ago.

British newspaper The Sunday Times said in a report published Sunday that Mossad intelligence chief Meir Dagan had informed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert several months ago that a “devastating Syrian surprise for Israel” was in the works.

According to the report, intelligence operatives warned that Syria was planning to purchase a nuclear device from North Korea that could be mounted on Scud-C missiles to be fired at Israel. “We’ve known for a long time that Syria has deadly chemical warheads on its Scuds,” said the source quoted in the report, “but Israel can’t live with a nuclear warhead.”
