IDF Orders Two Families out of Unused Hevron Building

(IsraelNN.com) The IDF has ordered two Jewish families to evacuate a Hevron market building that was leased by the city several years ago and now is unused. Shas Minister for Industry, Trade and Labor Eli Yishai has asked the Defense Ministry to intervene on behalf the Jewish families. However, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who has kept a very low profile since his election as Labor party chairman and his appointment to head the ministry, turned the issue over to his deputy, Matan Vilnai (Labor).

Former Justice Minister Ya'akov Ne'eman, who represents the two families, said that the land in the marketplace area has been bought by Jews and that the families should remain.
