Feud Breaks Jewish Agency Partnership with NBN

(IsraelNN.com) A bitter feud has broken the cooperation between the
Jewish Agency and the highly successful Nefesh B'Nefesh (NBN) program
to bring Jews to Israel on aliya. The Jewish Agency teamed up with NBN
three years ago after NBN was well on its way to help thousands of
Jews make aliya. Many potential immigrants have complained for years
that the Jewish Agency often did not help them enough, if at all, to
move to Israel.

NBN charged that financial promises were not fulfilled by the Jewish
Agency, which in turn accused NBN of concentrating on the orthodox
Jewish community and ignoring Jews from other streams of Judaism.

NBN countered that 65 percent of single people it has brought to
Israel are not orthodox, while two-thirds of families are orthodox.
