SUSPECT IN QUEENS DENTIST SLAY NY-BOUND

B”H

The latest chapter in this very sad story. The father is dead, the mother has been refused custody, and the cousin is facing murder charges.

I want to know the fate of this poor child, who is in foster care in NYC. Who knows if she is safe? Who knows if she is in a Jewish environment (her parents are religious Bukarians), who knows if anyone cares!

The little girl, Michelle, is the victim of all of this more than any other person. I wish the paper would let us know how she is faring.

January 15, 2008 -- A Russian immigrant suspected in the playground murder of a Queens orthodontist last October has exhausted all attempts to fight extradition from Georgia and will be brought back to New York to face charges this week, authorities said yesterday.

Mikhail Mallayev, a relative of the victim's estranged wife, Mazoltuv Borukhova, was linked to the daytime, execution-style shooting of Daniel Molokov through fingerprints left on a homemade silencer used and discarded at the scene.

A Queens grand jury indicted Mallayev, 50, in December, but he has refused to waive extradition ever since.

Molokov, 34, and Borukhova, a doctor, had been in the midst of a divorce and custody battle.

He was granted temporary custody of the couple's 4-year- old daughter just days before he was killed in a Forest Hills park before his little girl's eyes.

Molokov's mother said yesterday that Mallayev must be brought back to New York.
