March 5, 2008 -- The older sister of a Russian doctor accused of orchestrating the murder of her orthodontist ex-hubby was busted yesterday for allegedly threatening his brother in an attempt to stop him from testifying in the sensational case.

"You do know, if you talk, you will be the next to go," Natella Natanova, 39, allegedly hissed at Gavril Malakov, 34, as the man walked to work at 108th Street and 65th Avenue in Forest Hills, Queens, at 9:50 a.m. Monday.

Malakov promptly informed cops, who busted Natanova yesterday afternoon and charged her with intimidating and tampering with a witness.

Natanova is the sister of Mazoltuv Borukhova, 34, who is charged with hiring a hitman to kill former husband Daniel Malakov.

Borukhova - a well-known internist at North Shore Hospital in Forest Hills - allegedly paid a distant cousin $20,000 to carry out the cold-blooded hit on a Forest Hills playground Oct. 28 in front of the warring couple's 4-year-old daughter.

Borukhova was apparently furious that her ex had gained custody of the child just days before the murder.

Since the slaying, Gavril Malakov has been one of his former sister-in-law's harshest accusers.

After her arrest last month, he told her, "I cannot believe you think America is so stupid, so dumb, that nobody is ever going to get caught."

Natanova, of Rego Park, remained mum as she was led from the 112th Precinct to await her arraignment last night.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, in announcing Natanova's arrest, made reference to her alleged threat to Gavril Malakov by saying, "Prospective witnesses must be protected from outside interference that might affect their testimony."

Natanova faces up to four years behind bars on the charges.
