(IsraelNN.com) Meretz-Yahad MK Zehava Gal-On wrote to Defense Minister Ehud Barak Monday urging him to put the soldiers’ rabbis on trial and close the Hesder program, which allows religious soldiers to integrate Torah learning and army service in a five-year format.

“The Hesder yeshivas need to be dismantled immediately," Gal-On wrote, adding that the rabbis of the yeshivas "are part of a rebellious leadership revolting against government and Knesset legislation.”
