(IsraelNN.com) MK David Azoulai (Shas) visited Hevron on Monday and toured the Jewish neighborhood that was destroyed by soldiers and police last week. Azoulai expressed shock over the destruction of the Shalhevet Pas Synagogue, named after 10-month-old Shalhevet Pas, who was murdered by an Arab sniper at a nearby playground.
Azoulai called on the government to rebuild the synagogue. He said he would speak to Defense Minister Ehud Barak and ask him to allow Jews to resume prayers in the area immediately.
