This is a horrible tragedy for their friends, their family, and the community at large.  There is nothing that replaces the hole in one's heart when they lose a loved-one.  Each family has lost two children.  The Khalili family lost a daughter several years ago, and now a son.  The Moussazadeh family loses two young men.

May Hashm comfort these families, and may they see justice in the months to come.

According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s report, on the evening of  August 26th three men, now identified as local Iranian Jews, were found  murdered inside their apartment located on the 600 block of North Kings Road in West Hollywood.

The victims, who were found by Sheriff’s deputies shot to death, were  identified as Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27; his brother, Shahriar Moussazadeh, 38; and Bernard Khalili, 27, said Craig Harvey, chief of investigations for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Chief Rabbi Amar has known that the idea of annuling conversions was a serious issue from the moment he took the reigns of his position.  He promised those who had been harmed by the likes of Sherman that those decisions would not hold, and he told everyone that it was just a few rabbis that were the problem, and the whole thing would be worked out.

Then he did nothing.

And then . . .

He did nothing.

By his silence, he empowered those rabbis who had gone against Rabbinic tradition and Jewish law to think it is possible to annul a halakic conversion.  Now, at the last moment, he thinks he can make a compromise so that the rabbis who subscribe to Sherman’s decision are allowed to stay in their post and halakic converts to Judaism have to go begging at doors to find a rabbi who will approve of their marriage?

I have to agree with Rabbi Ferber here when he says, ““In effect, this response empowers those fundamentalist rabbis who refuse to recognize the conversions of the state, and ultimately discriminates against converts who have made great sacrifices to join the Jewish people.”

Is the Chief Rabbi so weak that he cannot stand behind his own conversion courts?  Is he so weak that he can’t fire those in the court who have made “convert” into a swear word?

Grow a backbone, Rabbi Amar!  You should have nipped this in the bud back when Sherman wrote his spurious decision, but now, at the last moment, you must act decisively!

Israeli Researchers Use Nanotechnology to Create a Chemotherapy "Smart Bomb" to Fight Cancer

This is such exciting news!  Now, perhaps, those being treated with chemotherapy can avoid all the horrible side affects and get even more effective treatment to kill their cancer.

Already my mind is swimming with possibilities of other uses for this nanotechnology!  Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could deliver medicine directly to arthritis-damaged joints, or how about targeting specific brain or nerve tissues with enzymes to restore mobility or help slow serious nerve diseases. . . wow.  There are so many possibilities in our future--so many new ways to heal the sick.

Thank G-d for the wisdom, intellect, and creativity of this new generation of healers!!

This is justice on a Devine scale.  Leftists intend to destroy a synagogue in Ma’ale Shomron, so they file against it in court.  Instead, they bring a counter-appeal from Regavim that may result in the destruction of two illegally built mosques!

The article points out the injustice in the system, where synagogues and Jewish homes are torn down daily but the arabs continue to build and build without one home being torn down.

Two mosques in Judea and Samaria may soon be ordered to be torn down by Israel’s High Court. Ironically enough, this decision may actually come about as a result of many appeals by a left-wing organization dedicated to assisting Arabs.

The  Yesh Din organization was established in March of 2005 and is comprised  of volunteers who, as its website states, “have organized to oppose the  continuing violation of Palestinian human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.” The organization’s mission, as stated on its website, is “to achieve a long-term structural improvement in the human rights situation in the OPT.”

NY Yeshiva Wants Parents to Install "Nanny Software" to Stop Students From Surfing for Porn

This is something that could only be requested from technologically challenged middle-aged administrators.  If kids want to surf for porn, they can do it from their smart phones, from the public library, or from various links utilizing mobile or satellite uplinks that completely avoid their parents' internet connection.

I'm sure there are plenty of google pages on go-arounds for nanny software, as well.  Seriously, the only people who would be monitored in this set-up are the technologically-challenged parents of these kids!

I thought Torah knowledge was supposed to teach the kids what is right and wrong, fear of Hashm, and goodness.  If the school is doing their job, they don't have to use nanny software.

I have an idea!  Why don't they install this software on the computers of all the rabbis, teachers, and administrators at the school and have it reported directly to the parents.  That would be the best use of it.

George Will Gets It, Why Doesn't The Obama Administration??

To say that I admire and absolutely love this column would be an understatement.  Thanks, George!  You really said it this time and said it clearly.

I just wish George Will would have mentioned the Hebron massacre in 1929--that one always shuts up the idiots who say that the arabs hate us because we "stole their land." Hebron is clearly a Jewish city, and if you don't believe that, take a gander at the Bible where Abraham purchased the land to bury Sarah.  It is a very clear passage, and it states that there will be those who will deny it is our land, but it is clearly ours!

Everyone knows the arabs simply hate us.  They don't have a reason, nor do they need one.  It is part of the fabric of their culture, the text of their books, and the teaching from parent to child.  It is convenient, some times, to have an excuse to point in order to try and justify their hate to stupid outsiders who think some imaginary indignity is somehow a reason for murdering innocent people. The truth is they hate us because we are alive.  They hate us because we exist.

Their hate will not be quelled by anything we do, anything we say, or anything we believe.

IN the intifada that began in 2000, Pales tinian terrorism killed more than 1,000 Israelis. As a portion of US population, that would be 42,000, approaching the toll of America's eight years in Vietnam. During the onslaught, which began 10 Septembers ago, Israeli parents sending two children to a school would put them on separate buses to decrease the chance that neither would return for dinner.

I guess they needed fake graves for all the fake deaths of the fake arabs that have occurred over the years? After all, they have to keep the charade going as long as they can, right?

Of course, the irony is that they are trying to keep the "Museum of Tolerance" from being erected--a museum dedicated to the premise that different peoples can live together in peace.

This incident is a metaphor of historic proportions!

In case you didn't pass English 101, here are some examples of how that metaphor works:

1. they are trying to fight tolerance,i.e. they are "intolerant of tolerance,"
2. they are establishing fake graves in an effort to "bury" the project,
3. they are trying to bury their reasons for objecting to tolerance, and
4. they are "restoring" graves that never existed in order to "restore" a history that never occurred.

That is the short list! Be creative! I'm sure you can come up with a lot more ways in which this act may be interpreted.

The truth is that the arabs are the ones who do not want peace. They are looking for reasons to fight, reasons to keep the controversy going. In peace, they gain nothing. In the "struggle" they get millions or dollars siphoned into their fake economic system to support a fake population of fake "palestians."

They have nothing to gain from peace and everything to gain from war.
