And you have decided this with no witnesses, no judges, and no Sanhedrin?

Hmm.

OK, let's entertain, for a brief moment, your idea. The Torah also uses the same word for illicit heterosexual sex. Does this mean that--without witnesses, judges, or a Sanhedrin--that we can issue a death sentence to anyone we suppose MIGHT be having an affair ?

Let's go a bit further.

The same word is also used for anyone who has used inaccurate weights in the marketplace to cheat others. It is also used for anyone who eats non-Kosher food.

Should we then, sentence to death, any Jew who we THINK MIGHT have cheated another, or any Jew who has been seen in a McDonald's restaurant (And saying you were using the bathroom is not good enough! All we need to prove this is our SUPPOSITION that you MIGHT have eaten non-Kosher food!!).

Wow.

I'm wondering how many of us might be left when you are done with your supposing.

Funny that you pick and choose the mitzvot to focus on, isn't it?

I would suggest you might get back to reading Torah and paying attention to your own mitzvot. Just between you and me, you might be busy for a while.

MAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04644518523952793214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382635099156893364.post-49900296271978138262011-02-09T20:04:12.848-08:002011-02-09T20:04:12.848-08:00I don't get it, are these men laying with othe...I don't get it, are these men laying with other men or just have homosexual inclinations? When the word partner comes up, that means the gay man is actively living a gay lifestyle with another man and, according to the torah, deserves death; they can hardly be called orthodox. Homosexual inclinations are a different story of courseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
